Key Features:High-boiling liquid (approx. 254–256°C) with low volatility. It is miscible with most organic solvents but has low water solubility. DBDG offers excellent solvency for resins, oils, and polymers. It has a high flash point (118°C) and low toxicity, making it a relatively safe, slow-evaporating solvent.
Typical Applications:It is widely used as a slow-evaporating coalescing solvent in coatings and inks, an electrolyte solvent in electronics, a grease remover in industrial cleaning, a reaction medium in polymer synthesis, and a metal extractant.
